Ask Sthuthi Episode – 2

Welcome !!! To the second episode on “Ask Sthuthi”.  Today’s question comes from a beautiful mother 🙂 


Hi Sthuthi

Five months back I delivered a healthy baby girl. My husband works in a different country and I live alone. It is very difficult to handle the baby alone . How can u help me on this ??????????



Well , the question was a little ambiguous for me so I followed up and discovered a beautiful mother with the most beautiful baby I have ever seen :).

We spoke for hours altogether and figured out a way she could handle her situation.

For the benefit of other mothers like her , I have 2 great strategies to help you get past the emotional challenges of motherhood.

Strategy 1: Ask for help

You my believe in being independent. But trust me there is absolutely no person available who isn’t dependent on others. We all depend others for various things . So there’s nothing wrong in asking for help when you are so much in need. I am sure you will find people with lovely souls to help you out. It could be your friends , relatives , neighbors , anyone whom you can trust. It is for your baby. And don’t you worry, someday, you too will get lovely opportunities to show them how grateful you are and help them out when they are facing difficult situations.

Strategy 2: Me time

Please set aside time for yourself. You are the most IMPORTANT person. If you are not stable physically as well as mentally you will definitely not have enough strength to cope up. At least 10 minutes of meditation every day will give you enough emotional strength to get going for the remaining 23 hrs 50 min. For new mothers this time MUST come at a time when your baby is asleep.

If your medical conditions hold good you could indulge in really great physical exercise as well.

Re- Boot yourself – 1

Are you stressed out??

Have you lost focus?
Do you yell at others for no reason?
Does your head feel heavy?
Do u feel zero happiness within yourself?
If YES its certainly times to re – boot

Step 1 – Close

Close everything around you. Books,Music Player etc. Close you eyes , Shut your mind, and smile.

Step 2 – Analyse and write

Think why are you stressed out, the reasons for your unhappiness. Pull out a diary and write it down. Write down everything that comes to your mind. Positive and negative thoughts. Don’t hide anything. No one is going to read it except you.

Step 3 – Listen

Close your diary and listen. You could either listen to some soft music, or happy music whichever lightens your mood. Or you could just sit in silence and wait for your inner voice to talk. You could even open your dairy and read what you have written. You may stumble upon something interesting or get inspired.

Step 4 – Arrange

At this stage you will have a lot of things on your mind. Arrange your thoughts. You could even write them down. You will definitely know what to do next. Clear out your table, make space around you and sit down to begin your task.

Step 5 – Smile Again

Now you have the idea and confidence to start afresh. Smile broadly to yourself.

Step 6 – Make a promise

Make a promise to yourself that you will keep the newly found confidence intact within yourself. The newly found color in your life will never go away.
